In April 2011, Gary and Sandy's Softfoot business took a quantum leap into the coloured alpacas market by purchasing the entire coloured herd of The Alpaca Specialists  and the entire grey herd of Greenvale Alpacas
Gary and Sandy Retallick of Softfoot Alpaca Stud run over 600 alpacas on their lush 460 acre conservation property, in the picturesque area of Hindmarsh Valley, South Australia.

'Softfoot Hall', is a purpose built accommodation and hospitality facility for visitors to Gary and Sandy's farm. Alpaca breeders who wish to peruse new, unique, Peruvian genetics for their herd are made welcome there with Softfoot's trademark honesty and hospitality.
